ILLUSTRATION + ANIMATION

For 2 years in a row, CDROM games were designed, illustrated and animated for KFC as a gift with every meal purchase for kids.

Focus groups were done with kids aged 5 to 11 and themes and types of games were selected based on the research. The games were also chosen carefully to appeal to both girls and boys.

A generic character was designed to have interchangeable outfits and appearances, while keeping the main boy and girl characters really simple.

Paper craft models were also custom designed to represent a character for each theme, as a bonus download.

For the second year, design and development amendments were made to the game shell to make it more unified and for easier update.

Overall an excellent design / illustration process, having to work closely with game developers to maintain consistency and making sure the games are all fun for kids. Via Soap Creative.
